Last week I posted about a new diet I was going to try. On Monday I began the Super Shred Diet. I really thought that this diet would give me the boost I needed to break through the weight loss plateau I was on. It might have if I could have stuck with it.
Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That
You’ve seen the video online where the woman says “Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That”. If you haven’t you should google it. That’s how I felt after two days of this diet. My job keeps me very busy. Like so busy I barely have time to go to the bathroom sometimes. This diet requires that you eat about every 1 1/2 hours. I just couldn’t keep up with all of that.
I admit I wasn’t hungry on this diet like I have been on other diets but it was because I was eating constantly. Seriously I felt like by the time I finished one snack or meal it was time for the next one.
I did lose 3 pounds this week, but I think if I had just stuck with my normal way of eating I probably would have lost the same amount.
I have decided I’m going back to Weight Watchers. For me Weight Watchers has become a way of life not just a fad diet. Like I explained to my co-worker the other day, with Weight Watchers I have learned that if I want to eat a sausage biscuit for breakfast (which is half of my points allotment for the day) then I have to make healthier choices the rest of the day.
With the Super Shred Diet it tells you what to eat and when. I don’t like that. I like to have control over what I eat. With that diet you often ate soup for lunch. What if I’m not in the mood for soup? Do I have to eat it and think the whole time about what I wish I was eating instead? For me I’d rather stick with a plan that allows me to make my own choices about what I eat by teaching me how to balance those healthy choices with the occasional indulgences.
So back to Weight Watchers I go. This is the last week of my Skinny Mom DietBet. Right now I’ve lost enough to meet my 4% goal for this DietBet. Looking forward to getting my share of the pot from the DietBet!
